To all Palilula and City of Nis citizens, our business partners who supported our developmental projects, I would like to wish Happy New 2010 and Merry Christmas, with a wish that new year will be happier and more successful than all the previous years. 

I wish good health to all people from Palilula, to our families and our children a lot of success in life. I wish for us to have a lot of work and with our joint strengths make quality of life in our municipality be better, to work more than we worked in the year before.  Big business deals are waiting for us on the way to European integrations and that is why we have to gather for the cause, and that is better life of all the citizens in our municipality.

SUCESSFUL MUNICIPAL WORK IN 2009

According to Municipal tradition, at the end of this year during New Year press conference, president of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic submitted the annual work report. After the estimation of the president, but also the citizens, Palilula Municipality is one responsible local unit organization of the City of Nis that in 2009 has managed to have great results. System of quality management, due to ISO 9001:2008, standard is established. NEW YEAR PRESENTS FOR CHILDREN WITHOUT PARENTS AND ROMA CHILDREN

29.12.2009.

Delegation of theCouncil of Palilula Municipality, during the end of 2009 , visited the children and people living in the parts of Palilula generally settled by Roma nationality. That was the initiative more for New years presents, but also the review of conditions and life quality of this ethnic group that, according to citizen register from 2002, is 4,75 of Palilula population. `With New years presents we want all the children in Nis and Palilula to have the same status and the same life conditions`-emphasized Boban Mikic, member of Municipal Council, when with Slavoljub Savic, vice - head of Municipal Administration visited Roma children in Crvena Zvezda (Palilula). This `not-urban` Roma settlement has many unsolved matters: problem of bad conditions of everyday living and infrastructure, unsolved issues of land ownership. `

PALILULA BRAND IN  2010 MUNICIPAL CALENDAR PAGES

28.12.2009.

 President of Palilula Municipality PhD Igor Novakovic with his colleagues organized the reception for 61 successful students from three faculties from Palilula - Faculty of Sport and Physical education, Work Safety Faculty and Faculty of Natural Sciences, then high school pupils from `Svetozar Markovic` and `Mija Stanimirovic` high schools and seven elementary schools, including two special schools, all active in Palilula. These students and pupils -the best of them, were the `motives` for 2010 Municipal calendar.

During the promotion of the calendar in NKC, Novakovic emphasized that this project promotes successful young people who are the future of our Municipality and the City of Nis. He also sent the regards to professors, head masters and deans of faculties with a wish to have even better relation in 2010 between Municipality and educational institutions.

GENERAL URBAN PLAN FOR FASTER DEVELOPMENT

 28.12.2009.

In Palilula Municipal building, in the presence of the authorities of this organization, the draft of `General urban plan of Nis for 2010 - 2025` was taken into consideration. It has the special review regarding the territory of this Municipality.

About the details of the plan spoke the responsible architect Miroljub Stankovic  from the `Institute for urbanism` in Nis. According to the estimation of the participants of the conversation, we deal with well done strategic document with which apply, we can improve the work of the Municipality itself, and by that of the City of Nis. Certain proposals, that came from the conversation with the citizens and public discussions for the addition to this document, were given.

Public view or public insight of the plan will be available on January 18 2010. In the period of the public view it will be exposed in the office for Department for planning and structuring of the City of Nis, Generala Tranijea street, no 10.

AMONG SPONSORS OF CHILDREN FESTIVAL - PALILULA MUNICIPALITY

 25.12.2009.

Dusica Davidovic, member of the Nis City Assembly, opened the first Nis New year Ready group festival organized by City Marketing Center. The Festival will last until December 29th and the sponsors of it are City of Nis and Pantelej, Palilula and Crveni Krst Municipalities, including many others. Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly and Bojan Ilic, head of Palilula Municipal Administration were present during the opening festival ceremony.

`Cair Hall will be just one big children entertainment place. All the children, who are not spending their winter holidays in the mountains, abroad or in villages, will have the opportunity to have fun in Cair music polygon, with music, dance and theatre plays` -emphasized Davidovic. `Every single part, we are keeping in ourselves of us being kids, is precious,  since it only makes our every day life richer.

FREE OF CHARGE TICKETS IN NURSERY SCHOOLS FOR `CHILDREN FESTIVAL`

On the occasion of first Nis New Year `Children Festival`, Palilula Municipality, as one of the sponsors of this manifestation, provided 1000 free tickets for the children from Municipal nursery schools. The members of Municipal Council and the president of Palilula Assembly gave as presents free festival tickets to little children from Palilula. Zorica Stojiljkovic and Milan Stevanovic visited `Pepeljuga` nursery school, Milos Stojkovic and Milan Andrejic visited `Crvenkapa`, while Milan Djurdjevic and Boban Mikic ` Bajka` nursery school.

NEW YEAR FIRST NIŠ `CHILDREN FESTIVAL`  ANNOUNCED

`We are addressing to you, to help us to do something for our children and ourselves. Be the part of first new year Children festival in Nis that will take place between 25th to 29th December in `Cair` in the organization of City Marketing Center and Sport center `Cair` and under the sponsorship of the City of Nis and Palilula, Pantelej and Crveni Krst municipalities`.  These were the words of the organizer and sponsor of the Children Festival at the press conference in Media Center. Oliver Paunovic and Sasa Djordjevic spoke about the programme of this unique manifestation and in the name of sponsor of manifestation - Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly, Bratislav Ignjatovic director of Sport center `Cair` and Vladimir Jovanovic director of TON.

URGENT THIRTEEN ASSEMBLY MEETING

23.12.2009.

 The councilors of Palilula Municipal Assembly, summoned by the president of the Assembly Milan Djurdjevic, participated in the work of 13th Assembly meeting that was called urgently. During this meeting two submitted proposals by the City Council were taken into consideration. Since they deal with the matters of interest for the citizens of Palilula Municipality, that made the reason why this meeting was scheduled urgently so that the first opinions will be submitted to Nis City Assembly for further procedure.

After adopting the Minutes from 12th meeting, the Proposal for the development of the City of Nis for 2010 was taken into consideration. Palilula Municipal Assembly supported in whole the Programme of city development for 2010. The Decision for giving positive Opinion to the Programme of development of the City for 2010 for the Administration for agriculture, sustainable development and life surrounding protection, was brought.

MUNICIPAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTER OPENED

Center for entrepreneurship development was opened in Bubanj, Palilula. The center was established within LEDIB programme with financial support of the Danish Government. The representatives of SMEs sector, City of Nis, LEDIB programme, Faculty of Economy and authorities of Palilula Municipality were all present at the opening of new work center in no 8,`Vojvode Putnika` street. `Contribution to small and medium enterprises in economy of Palilula Municipality grows on annual level. Palilula economy has all the characteristics of transitional economy and is characterized by domination of small and medium enterprises in private ownership. ENCOURAGEMENT TO LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT

On Friday December 18 at 14 00 hours in `Vojvode Putnika` street (Bubanj, Palilula) Center for entrepreneurship development will be opened. On this occasion, in the presence of the representatives of the City of Nis and LEDIB programme, including Palilula Municipal authorities, the public will be introduced about the work programmes on the Center. For the realization of the project `Founding of Center for local economic development` in Palilula, that is being realized within the programme of local economic development in Nis administrational region, Danish government provided 1,5 million dollars. The Project is one of 17 developmental projects that were approved and one belongs to Palilula Municipality – on the theme of local economic development and employment increasing.

CITIZENS ARE OBLIGED TO REMOVE SNOW OF PAVEMENTS

Communal inspectors from the Administration of Palilula Municipality in Nis, from the moment when the first snow appeared, have visited larger part of municipal territory and warned the entrepreneurs, owners of private shops, residents of buildings, owners of individual residential objects, that within the closest deadline have to clean the snow and ice in front of their objects. Citizens, enterprises and other legal entities and entrepreneurs have to take care of cleaning snow and ice from pavements that are not in the scope of the programme of work of winter services. They are obliged to remove it from approaching roads and paths to business buildings and rooms they are using, as well as from the pavement and roofs. They are also obliged to cover these roads and areas with technical salt.

STONE FOUNTAIN LIKE CHAPTER IN AESTHETIC SPACE ADAPTATION

PhD Igor Novakovic, president of Palilula Municipality, with his colleagues, presented to press the programmes of activities on thr adaptation of inter-residential block space adaptation in Palilula. On this occasion, the adaptation of park surfaces and newly built stone fountain in front of NKC building were promoted. According to Novakovic words, aesthetic space adaptation and building of fountains is also planned in Ledena stena, part of Palilula, in front of Local community building as well in the other Palilula parts – all where conditions for that exist.

LET US SAVE OUR PLANET EARTH!

With the words `LET US START TODAY AND SAVE TOMORROW` , Now it is time! Say STOP to climate changes!!! and in organization of EKOpolis media net and coalition of NGOs , young successors of political parties, Green net of City of Nis and local authorities of Region `Evrobalkan` successfully organized completing activity of planetary campaign against climate change. In the moment when the leaders from whole world gathered at UN world summit on climate change in Copenhagen in order to harmonize only one thought that became the condition for future life and prosperity of those who come after us, therefore around 3,500 of citizens of Nis, specially young, participated last week in many programmes, round tables, painting and photo exhibitions, movie projections, that were organized in European house in Nis. The moment that makes decision about the humanity destiny pushed us to urgent action so that our voice could be heard and made valuable.

2010 MUNICIPAL BUDGET ADOPTED

11.12.2009.

Twelve meeting of Palilula Assembly was organized on December 11 in NKC building. On this meeting presided by Milan Djurdjevic, president Palilula Assembly and Vesna Jovanovic Jankovic, general secretary of Assembly with majority of votes adopted Municipal budget for 2010 in the amount of 129,4 million dinars. As it was stated in introductory speech of budget proposal, 92,2, million dinars will be realized on the basis of transfer from other authorities levels, about 37 million dinars the Municipality will provide from own incomes with planned positive balance of 5 million dinars. Outcomes are modulated with incomes and together are increased for 8,1 percent which is equal to projected inflation rate for the next year. According to PhD Igor Novakovic words, in given work conditions and authorities, Municipality will help all categories of citizens to which that help is really necessary. In the previous period social help has been shared also to those who do not deserve it.

STOPPING LIFE ENVIRONMENT VIOLATION IN GORNJE MEDJUROVO?

Palilula Municipality authorities visited Public enterprise `Mediana` workers in Gornje Medjurovo village and Village council members who were engaged on organized removal of wild dump places. With this activity, realized within the programme of world ecologic campaign `Stop climate changes` and UN world summit in Copenhagen, the Municipal strategy of inclusion of settlements in villages in organized collecting and outfreight of garbage, was promoted.

`With this action we want to reduce and prevent appearance of wild dump places and stop with this practice of violation and pollution of our natural resources – emphasized Boban Mikic, member of Palilula Council. `No one, along Morava river, is not drinking water from their wells and they have it enough. This only speaks about our unconcern. The question that is posed here is do we eat healthy food?`

STOP TO CLIMATE CHANGES - MESSAGE FROM NIS

By signing the message `For saving Planet Earth` and with number of activities, lectures, film projections, photo, painting and exponents exhibitions, round tables, citizen peaceful walk, in the period December 7-13 2009 in `European house` in Nis and all over Serbia, members of EKOpolis net will participate in planetary campaign with the motto ` STOP TO CLIMATE CHANGES`. On this occasion in European house in Nis press conference. was organized.
